As the days draw nearer to Salisu's coming-of-age ceremony, his anxiety grows. Doubts about ever being recognized as a true man consume him, prompting him to flee into the forest. There, he follows mysterious will-o'-wisps into Nypso, an otherworldly realm.
In this new world, Salisu discovers a universe beyond his imagination and meets a new friend who shares a similar journey. Together, they navigate a fantastical landscape, finding hope, determination, and bravery. Through the eyes of these two young boys, overwhelmed by the weight of tradition and rites of passage, the story unfolds, capturing their struggle to overcome the challenges that lie ahead.
